Immediately feeling the effects of yoga's quieting, introspective qualities, Anna began her companionship with the practice, bringing it to forefront of her life. Having grown up in a ballet school where the body was seen as a medium to be manipulated for aesthetic value, Anna finds deep comfort in yoga's approach to the body as a vessel of wisdom, self-understanding, and revelation. An avid traveler, having resided in places such as Japan and Nicaragua, Anna values the importance of shifting perspectives and broadening understanding, something that yoga evokes as well. Guided by the teaching and training of Nikki Estrada, Anna brings a contemplative approach to the vinyasa style of practice, utilizing breath as a tool for expansion and deepening. Inspired and informed by the guidance of Maritza and her embodiment of the Anusara principles of alignment, Anna focuses on the detail and precision of alignment, finding strength and opening from deep within the subtle body. <- Back |
